Bone marrow hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell populations, BrdU incorporation, cell cycle status, and colony-forming ability are altered by lack of AHR expression. (a) Bone marrow cells were processed for Lin⁻ cell separation, stained for specific markers, and analyzed by flow cytometry for (a) LSK and (b) LT-HSC. Bone marrow Lin⁻ cells were isolated from BrdU-treated mice, stained for LSK cells and anti-BrdU antibody, and analyzed for BrdU⁺ LSK cells (c). For cell cycle analysis, BM Lin⁻ cells were stained with DAPI and analyzed for LSK cells in G0-G1, S, and G2/M cell cycle stage (d).
