Experimental protocol. NOD mice were randomly allocated to two treatment groups. From 4 weeks old, HucMsc-EVs group mice were injected with HucMsc-EVs (2 mg/kg, dissolved in PBS to final volume of 200 μl) intravenously through the caudal vein, twice a week for 8 weeks, on the third and sixth days of each week. Control animals were administered an equivalent volume of PBS on the same days.
