Snail mRNA expression is downregulated in human chondrosarcomas. All five chondrosarcoma cell lines showed a significant decrease ranging from 1.5- to a 10-fold decrease in snail mRNA expression when compared to the normal SNM83 chondrocyte cell line as determined by real-time PCR using CT relative quantification method. Expression is normalized to SNM83 chondrocyte expression.
