Effect of BH₄ on iNOS protein expression, nitrite accumulation, and O_2•− production in RAW 264.7 cells. Cells were incubated with one of the essential NOS cofactors, BH₄ in the presence of DMEM media containing 400 μM of L-arginine. iNOS protein expression in cell lysates, accumulation of nitrite (a), and O_2•− production in cell supernatants (b) were determined after 24 h of cell incubation with LPS (50 ng/mL).
