Statistical analyses of the bursting pressure tests showed a decrease of stability three days after surgery in the control groups (uncoated and PDLLA coated). This decrease was not seen in the IGF-I-treated specimens. At day three after surgery, a significant higher bursting pressure was measured in this group compared to the controls. 7 days after surgery no significant difference was seen in between the groups. Statistical analyses were performed using ANOVA analyses and were adjusted with the Bonferroni test (*).
