Shown within thehcp1 upstream region (a) were translation and transcription starts, SD sequences, and −10/−12 and −35/−24 core promoter elements. The T6SS1 gene cluster forms 7 putative operons, and the upstream regions of the first genes of these operons were aligned for predicting the −10 and −24 elements (b).
