LDOS evaluated at the wedge region for the single (8,0)/(14,0) junction with a pair of pentagons (2×5) at the kneecap and varying strengths of the hopping 𝑡̃ parameter connecting the 8R octagon into the V8R void. The hopping parameter varies as 0, 0.1𝑡, 0.4𝑡 and 𝑡 from top to bottom.
