Deliberations on the External Morphology and Modification of the Labial Segments in the Nepomorpha (Heteroptera: Insecta) with Notes on the Phylogenetic Characteristics

Diversified characters of the labial segments (marked with various colors) are shown as common or individual characters for particular taxa. The characters indicated as “invisible” refer to unidentified characters (it was difficult to define these characters on the basis of SEM images). The table also includes characters of the outgroup (Gerromorpha) that are also analyzed in the Discussion.
