Morphology evaluation through TEM, SEM (50000x), and AFM (50 μm × 50 μm) of samples (a): Au-G2-5, (b): Au-G4-5, and (c): Au-G6-5 after two weeks after synthesis. Spherical particles are visible in TEM, with dimensions decreasing with the increasing generation of dendrimer. SEM reveals porous networks consisting in self-assembled nanoparticles. Nanostructured chains are entangled and delimitate internal pores. AFM confirms the results from TEM and SEM.
