YgaE Regulates Out Membrane Proteins in Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhi under Hyperosmotic Stress

qRT-PCR was performed to detect expression of out membrane proteins in wild-type strain(WT), ygaE,   ygaE(pBAD), and ygaE(pBADygaE) strains in hyperosmotic LB medium. Data are the mean ± SD from three independent experiments. (a) Expression of ompF in the ygaE strain was increased threefold, compared to the wild-type strain. The complementation of ygaE to ygaE strain repressed the expression of ompF to wild-type strain level. The expression of ompF in ygaE(pBAD) was similar to ygaE strain. (b) Expression of ompC in the ygaE strain was increased fourfold, compared to the wild-type strain. The complementation of ygaE to ygaE strain repressed the expression of ompC to wild-type strain level. The expression of ompC in ygaE(pBAD) was similar to ygaE strain.
