YgaE Regulates Out Membrane Proteins in Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhi under Hyperosmotic Stress

Two-dimensional electrophoresis was performed to compare the profiles of bacterial total proteins in wild-type strain and ygaE strains after 120 min hyperosmotic shock. Protein spots that were unique to each strain were chosen for mass spectroscopy (MS) analysis. ygaE-1 spot, which was discussed in this study, was unique to ygaE strain and determined by MS to be the out membrane protein OmpA.
