Soil porosity () determination by using the traditional (MT) (3) and gamma-ray attenuation (MN1 (4)) methods for the 137Cs and 241Am gamma-ray sources and both soils (sandy-S and clayey-C). RD represents the relative difference between the results of MT and MN (6). Porosities were calculated considering experimental (exp) and calculated (XCOM) mass attenuation coefficients . Maximum and minimum values represent RD obtained from the different positions (-black box and -white box) of soil sample crossed by the gamma-ray beam.
