Perception and signaling during salt stress response. The major pathways inside the cell (MAPK, CDPK, and SOS) are well known. Most of them are Ca²⁺-dependent, but oxidative signaling involving H₂O₂ is also an important mechanism that is currently better understood. Still the data on possible involvement of cell wall receptors like cell wall associated kinases are scarce and need to be elucidated.
