Judith A. Smith

Judith A. Smith received her B.S. degree in pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy, Union University, Jackson, TN, USA, in 1996, and then completed her D.pharm. degree, in 1997. Smith also has completed an ASHP accredited 18‐month residency in oncology pharmacy practice with a pharmacy practice equivalent at the National Institutes of Health. Smith serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Gynecologic Oncology Reproductive Medicine in UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Austin, TX, USA. In addition, Smith has a joint‐faculty appointment as an Associate Professor at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the UT health Sciences Center Medical School at Houston and at the Department of Clinical Sciences and Administration at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, Houston, TX, USA, where she is the Course Coordinator for two graduate elective courses. She is an active Clinical Pharmacist and the Core Pharmacology Laboratory Director at UT Medical School at Houston. Her research focus is on drug development for gynecologic cancers and women health conditions with a specific focus on drug safety, drug interactions, and drug resistance. After her residency training, Smith completed a two‐year fellowship in clinical pharmacology at UT MDACC. She has been an active member of the pharmacy profession. Currently, she serves on multiple Editorial Boards and advisory boards and is an active Peer‐Reviewer for over thirty oncology‐related journals. She is also an active member of multiple pharmacy and oncology professional organizations.
