Qing Cao

Qing Cao received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1997 and 2005, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma (OU), Norman, USA, in 2009, all in electrical engineering. He was a telecom engineer in China from 1997 to 2002, working on wireless communication systems. From 2002 to 2005, he was with the Radio Wave Propagation Laboratory, Wuhan University, performing research on the high-frequency ground wave radar system. From 2006 to 2013, he was with the Atmospheric Radar Research Center (ARRC), OU, where he was first a Graduate Assistant, then a Postdoctoral Researcher, and currently a Research Scientist. He was also an adjunct Research Fellow in the Hydrometeorology and Remote-Sensing Laboratory of OU from 2011 to 2013. Since August 2013, he has been a research scientist in Enterprise Electronics Corporation. His research interests include remote-sensing techniques, radar system design and signal processing, weather radar polarimetry, cloud/precipitation microphysics, and quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasts. Dr. Cao has been a Member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 2007. He has served as peer Reviewer several tens of times for AMS JAS, AMS JTECH, AMS JAMC, AGU JGR, IEEE TGRS, IEEE APM, TEA JEMWA, CAS AAS, EEMJ, and so on.
