Romain Privat

University of Lorraine, France

Romain Privat currently works as an Assistant Professor of thermodynamics and chemical engineering at the Chemical Engineering University of Nancy (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques), Nancy, France. In 2008, he received his Ph.D. degree entitled "Development of the PPR78 model in order to describe, understand, and predict high and low pressure phase diagrams of binary systems and petroleum mixtures." In 2009, he got a one-year Postdoc position under the direction of Professor Rafiqul Gani at the Danish Technical University (Kongens Lyngby, Denmark) where he worked on the development of a predictive version of the PC-SAFT equation of state. Privat currently performs his research work at the Laboratory for Reactions and Chemical Processes (L.R.G.P.) in the fields of thermodynamic modelling and computational thermodynamics (development of the PPR78 model, of the PR2SRK model, and of the PredPC-SAFT model and search for new algorithms for phase-equilibrium calculation, etc.).
