Myroslav O. Vysotsky

Myroslav O. Vysotsky was born in Kiev (Ukraine) in 1971. He received his Diploma (M.S. degree) in chemical engineering of organic compounds at National Technical University (Kiev Polytechnic Institute), Ukraine, in February 1994, and later Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry (January 1998) at Institute of Organic Chemistry National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for his work conducted on O-phosphorylated calix[n]arenes in the group of Profesor Dr. Sci. Vitaly I. Kalchenko. He was a Royal Society/NATO & FCO Chevening Postdoctoral Fellow with Professor Christopher A. Hunter (Sheffield University, Sheffield, UK) and Dr. Volker Böhmer (Johannes Gutenberg-Universität, Mainz, Germany). Currently, he works in a cooperation project as a Postdoc between Merck KGaA and Heinrich-Heine-Universität-Düsseldorf (group of Professor Dr. Walter Frank and Dr. Nikolai Ignatiev). He is a (co)author of more than 60 publications which are cited more than 1200 times in the literature. His h-index is around 24. His scientific awards include also several Ph.D. grants from the International Science Foundation (G. Soros and Ukrainian State), Forschungsstipendium, and Eigene Stelle of the German Research Council (DFG). His main scientific interests include organic and supramolecular chemistry, chemistry of calixarenes, porphyrins, self-assembled molecular capsules, and mechanically interlocked molecules (catenanes, rotaxanes, anchorages).
