Masa-Aki Shibata

Masa-Aki Shibata works as a Professor at the Faculty of Health Science at the Osaka Health Science University in Osaka, Japan. He received his Ph.D. degree in experimental tumor pathology from Nagoya City University Medical School in Nagoya, Japan (1994). Prior to his present appointment, he served as an Associate Professor at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology in Osaka Medical College in Takatsuki, Japan (1999-2010) and as a Postdoctoral Scientist in national cancer institutes in Japan and the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, USA (1995-1999). He received Fellows Award for Research Excellence NIH in 1998 (EMBO J., 18, 2692-2701, 1999). His main research interests include the chemoprevention and gene therapy for cancer.
