Muhammad Tariq Majeed

Muhammad Tariq Majeed recently received his Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK. Dr. Majeed's career to date has included employment as a Research Officer in the Punjab Economic Research Institute, Lahore, Pakistan; a Visiting Lecturer at the Allama Iqbal University, Islamabad, Pakistan; an Assistant Director in the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan; and a Lecturer in economics at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan (the most prestigious institute in Pakistan and ranked as Pakistan's top academic university by the Pakistan Higher Education Commission). During his affiliation with Quaid-i-Azam University, Majeed taught extensively at M.S. level, focusing on courses in microeconomic theory, international economics (trade theory and trade policy), development economics, public economics, mathematical economics, and statistics. He has also supervised M.S. level theses in economics and conducted and published his own research. He has contributed to research projects funded by the University Research Fund and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Additionally, Majeed has taught at the University College of Islamabad and at the University of London External Program.
