Christopher G. Hamaker

Illinois State University, USA

Christopher Hamaker received his undergraduate degree in professional chemistry from Eastern Michigan University in 1993. In 1999, he received his Ph.D. degree at Iowa State University with Professor L. Keith Woo studying the mechanism of metalloporphyrin-catalyzed cyclopropanation reactions. He did a post doctoral (1999 - 20010 with Eric A. Maatta at Kansas State University studying polyoxometalate clusters. In 2001, he joined the faculty of Illinois State University, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research interests are in the use of X-ray crystallography to study weak intermolecular interactions and the use of novel Schiff base ligands for coordination chemistry and catalysis.
