Olof Svensson

Olof Svensson has studied engineering physics at the Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), where he obtained his M.S. degree in 1992. In November 1996, he obtained his Ph.D. degree after having worked 4 years for the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) on the Materials Science Beamline ID11. After three years of Postdoc on BM14, he joined the ESRF Scientific Software Group, where he mainly worked on experiment automation. In 2008, he received together with Vicente Rey the Bessy Innovation Award for his work concerning automation of MX crystallography. Svensson has been the EDNA Project Manager since 2007. Now, he is also responsible for the workflow developments in DAWN and the Coordinator of the workflow development and maintenance at the ESRF.
