Kannamannadiar Jayaprakasan obtained M.B.B.S. degree from University of Calicut, Kerala, India, in 1994 and M.D. in obstetrics and gynaecology from University of Pune, Pune, India, in 1998. He is currently working as a Consultant Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and fertility unit at Royal Derby Hospital, Derby, UK and as an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. He became a member of Royal college of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2002. He was awarded Ph.D. degree in 2009 by the University of Nottingham for his work related to standardizing the methods of ovarian reserve assessment with particular focus on 3D ultrasound markers such as antral follicle count. He has published many original articles on related topics in leading fertility and ultrasound journals and has contributed to many text book chapters. His key clinical and research interests are application of 3D ultrasound in reproductive medicine and interventions to overcome ovarian ageing.
