Elisa Isabel Garcia-Lopez

Universita' degli Studi di Palermo, Italy

Elisa Isabel Garcia‐Lopez was born in Madrid, Spain. She graduated from the Inorganic Chemistry Department, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), Madrid, Spain. She worked at the Catalysis and Petrochemistry Institute (ICP‐CSIC) in Madrid from 1994 to 1996. She served as a Fellow Training of Staff Researcher‐FPI from 1996 to 1998 at CIEMAT (Spain). She received her Ph.D. degree at the Università di Palermo, Palermo, Italy. She served as Postdoc Fellow at the Meisei University in Tokyo (Japan) from 2006 to 2007 working with Professor H. Hidaka. She worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy, Information and Mathematical Models (DEIM) at the Engineering School of Palermo University. Her scientific activity concerns heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis: preparation, chemical, and physical characterization of photocatalysts and study of the mechanism and kinetics. She collaborates with several scientists involved in the various aspects of catalysis and photocatalysis. She is the coauthor of 59 articles in international journals (peer‐reviewed) and 180 presentations at national and international congresses, as well as 7 articles in scientific books. Her h‐index is 23, with 1761 total citations by 1448 documents (June 2014). Her last publications include “Heteropolyacid‐based materials as heterogeneous photocatalysts” (European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry 2014, 21‐35) and “Photocatalytic CO2 reduction in gas‐solid regime in the presence of H2O by using GaP/TiO2 composite as photocatalyst under simulated solar light” (Catalysis Communications 2014, 53, 38‐4z).
