Shimou Chen

Shimou Chen received his B.S. degree from the Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China, in 2002, and his Ph.D. degree from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2007. In April 2008, he moved to Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow. From 2011 to 2012, he was a Research Associate at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan. Currently he is a Professor at the Institute of Processing and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include microstructure of ionic liquid, phase behavior of ionic liquid in confined space, ionic liquid assisted fabrication of nanostructures, and application of ionic liquid in electrolytic aluminum, and lithium-ion battery solar cell. His work has been published in journals such as Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Nano, and Energy & Environmental Science.
