Marco Cicciù, a D.D.S., Ph.D., and M.S. degrees holder, graduated in dental science 07/17/2003 with a vote 110/110 and honors; he is a winner of Ph.D. course in interceptive orthodontic science in 2003. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in interceptive orthodontic science performed in 2006 titled "Functional Outcome of Mandible Condyle Fractures in Young Subject," enrolled from 2006 in the specialist Postgraduate School of Milano University Oral Surgery, and spent 6 months in the Loma Linda University, under Head Director Dr. Alan S. Herford (California, USA) from 13/10/2007 to 17/04/2008. In that period he performed animal research on rhBMP2 and bone regeneration techniques, with Dr. Philip J. Boyne. He worked as Reviewer of Indian Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Oral Implantology, Journal of Research and Essays, Journal of Oral Implantology, International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants, and African Journal of Biotechnologies. During the period 2003–2006, research activity was performed to realize Ph.D. thesis by individual study and bibliographic research. During the period 2007-2008 and 2009-2010, Dr. Cicciù was tutor for the Master of Science Dental Implantology at the Messina University. In 10 November 2009, Dr. Cicciù completed his postdegree specialization in oral surgery at the University of Milan Master Science with a vote of 70/70 and honors developing a thesis on the growth factor application in oral surgery. He is author of more than 86 indexed publications on Scopus, Medline, and PubMed Journals. He is currently an Editorial Board Member of Journal Craniofacial Surgery, Chinese Journal Traumatology, International Journal Clinical Experimental Medicine, and Open Dentistry Journal. He currently works as Assistant Professor at Messina University, Dental School, Department of Human Pathology, Messina, Italy, with Italian Qualification 06/F1-Med 28.
