Daping Yang

Daping Yang serves as a Plastic Surgeon, practicing in Harbin at the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University. He obtained his M.D. degree from Harbin Medical University. He completed his postgraduate residency training in orthopedics and plastic surgery at the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University where he remains in practice and did a microsurgery fellowship at Huashan Hospital of Shanghai Medical University in Shanghai in 1986 and a plastic surgery fellowship in Beijing Plastic Surgery Hospital of Chinese Medical Academy of Sciences in 1989. He is board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the Chinese Board of Plastic Surgery. He serves as a member of several societies, including the Chinese Society for Plastic Surgery and the Chinese Society for Microsurgery, as well as an active member of the Plastic Surgery Research Council. He has developed practice with a strong emphasis in hand surgery and microsurgery. Additionally, he has performed microsurgical operation over 150 cases a year including free flaps, replants, revascularization, and nerve repairs. He has completed a number of basic science projects including anatomical and physiological studies. He has obtained research funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) which is an organization directly affiliated to the State Council for the management of the National Natural Science Fund. He has published scientific papers, book chapters, and presented at national meetings related to a wide variety of plastic, hand, and microsurgery topics. He has a strong interest in microsurgical reconstruction of the extremities, and his practice includes a few of aspects of plastic surgery. He and his colleagues have performed the recently developed perforator flap for upper and lower extremity reconstruction and upper extremity replantation. He serves as an Editor of the Chinese Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
