Jiwen Hu

Chinese Academy of Sciences, China

Jiwen Hu received his B.S. degree of chemistry from Xiangtan University in 1989 and an M.S. degree of polymer chemistry and physics from Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry in 1992. In 2001, he acquired his Ph.D. degree of polymer materials from South China University of Technology. In 2004, 2007, 2008, he worked as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Calgary and/or Visiting Professor at Queen’s University of Canada. At present, Dr. Hu holds a Full Professor position at Guangzhou Institute of Chemistry. His research interest is focused on self-assembly of polymer for function materials, (super-amphiphobic materials, 3D polymer membrane with controllable nanopore channel), process of polymer materials (functional fiber, conductive adhesive, and high performance packaging materials), and research of polymer membrane and membrane process (polymeric membrane for separation, chiral separation membrane, and lithium battery separator). Dr. Hu is the author of over 80 papers that appeared in the academic publications, such as JACS, Macromolecules, Polymer, Journal of Polymer Science, and so forth. His major contributions are on the synthesis of polymers and their application in membrane separation and functional materials
