Massimiliano Valeriani

Massimiliano Valeriani works at the Division of Neurology, Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù, Rome, Italy. He graduated in medicine from the Catholic University of Rome, Italy, in 1991. He specializes in neurology at the Catholic University of Rome in 1995. He attended the Functional Neurology and Epileptology Unit, Hopital Neurologique (Lyon), headed by Professor Mauguiére, from February to August 1995. He received his Ph.D. degree in neuroscience from the Catholic University of Rome, Italy, in 1999. From 1998 to 2008, he was a Professor of clinical neurophysiology at the Catholic University of Rome. Since 2001, he has been an attending neurologist at the Children’s Hospital Bambino Gesù of Rome. Since May 2010, he has been an Assigned Professor at Aalborg University. Dr. Valeriani deals with pain syndromes with a special interest on headache. His research activity is focused on clinical neurophysiology. He participated as an invited speaker in several international congresses and as a teacher in courses on headache and clinical neurophysiology. He published more than 140 articles in extenso in international journals with impact factor. His personal h-index is 28.
