Takashi Takeda

Takashi Takeda received his M.D. degree in March 1987 from Osaka University Medical School, Osaka, Japan, and the Ph.D. degree in March 1995 from the same university. From 2012 to present, he has been a Professor in the Division of Women's Health, Research Institute of Traditional Asian Medicine, Kinki University School of Medicine, Osaka, Japan . He is also a Visiting Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine and, from 2008 to 2012, he was an Associate Professor in the Department of Traditional Asian Medicine of the same university. From 2007 to 2008, 2001 to 2004, and 1997 to 1998, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Osaka University Medical School, Osaka, Japan. From 1990 to 1995 he was a Graduate Researcher of the Laboratory of Toshio Hirano, Department of Molecular Oncology, Graduate School of Osaka University Medical School, Osaka, Japan. From 2004 to 2007, he worked as a gynecologist at the Department of Gynecology, Osaka Medical Center for Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease, Osaka, Japan. From 1998 to 2000, he was an obstetrician at the Department of Obstetrics, Osaka Medical Center and Research Institute for Maternal and Child Health, Osaka, Japan. His research interests include traditional Japanese herbal medicine, kampo, gynecological endocrinology, gynecological oncology, premenstrual syndrome, signal transduction, and curcumin. He was awarded the 2013 17th International Congress of the ISPOG, First Prize and the 2005 57th Annual Congress of the Japanese Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, First Prize.
