Chinna Rajanna Kamatala

Osmania University, Hyderabad, India

Chinna Rajanna Kamatala obtained the Ph.D. degree in 1982 in physical organic chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. After obtaining the Ph.D. degree, Kamatala worked at Osmania University as a Faculty Member in various capacities (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor). Over the years, Dr. Kamatala has focused attention on gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of chemical applications in the fields of physical organic chemistry, organic synthesis, and chemistry of small‐scale materials. Kamatala has put in best efforts (within reach) and supervised about 35 Ph.D. degree students in diversified fields of chemistry and chemical sciences such as chemical kinetics, oscillatory chemical reactions, and spectroscopic studies of molecular interactions. In addition, Dr. Kamatala has published about 110 papers in internationally reputed and peer‐reviewed journals, has reviewed several research papers published by the American Chemical Society (ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), Taylor and Francis, Elsevier (ScienceDirect), Bentham Science Publishers (Chemistry), Wiley International, and Springer Chemistry Journals, and has coauthored two physical sciences textbooks for IX class students, published by Andhra Pradesh State Government. Currently, Dr. Kamatala is actively engaged in the fields of green chemistry and catalysis (micelle mediated, microwave irradiated, and ultrasonically assisted organic synthesis) and nanomaterials.
