Poul Erik Andersen

Poul Erik Andersen was born in Aarhus, Denmark in 1948. He received his Medical degree from University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark, in 1974, passed the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates, Penn, USA (E.C.F.M.G.) exam in 1975, and became a Specialist in radiology in 1982. He received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern Denmark in 1987. Since 1983, he has been the Chief Radiologist/Consultant at Cardiovascular Section, Department of Radiology, Odense University Hospital. Presently, he is a Professor of radiology. His main interests and expertise are within interventional vascular radiology. Since 2000, Dr, Anderson has been a Fellow of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) and has passed the European Board and qualification of Interventional Radiology (EBIR). He is also a Member of the Faculty of CIRSE and has for several years been a subcommittee member and chairman of preparation of the educational programme and abstract review and grading in the topic of interventional radiology at European Congresses of Radiology (ECR) in Austria. He is an Author at World Journal of Radiology (WJR) and a reviewer for several Journals.
