Soo Peng Koh started her career as R&D Executive in the Department of Research & Development, Mewah Oils-Sdn Bhd (Palm Oil Refining Industry), for the past 4 years before working as Senior Research Officer in Biotechnology & Nanotechnology Research Center (MARDI) in 2008. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in food and enzyme biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Malaysia, in 2009. Her current research interests are focusing on food emulsion processing, food and enzyme biotechnology, food fermentation, and biochemical analytical study. Over the last 10 years, she has been involved in 18 projects funded by MARDI and Malaysia’s government. To date, she has published 38 papers in various national and international refereed journals and 3 book chapters and has filed 8 patents. She has presented over 68 papers and won 26 awards in various national and international conferences and exhibitions. Besides, she is invited as an Editorial Board Member for Food Research Journal and works as external reviewer for various national and international journals. Dr. Koh is also a Panel Technical Member for MOSTI’s project ScienceFund and TechnoFund. Dr. Koh is a cosupervisor for few postgraduate students (M.S. and Ph.D. students) and supervisor for industrial practical students from various local universities (Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and Universiti Malaysia Pahang).
