Massimiliano Ferronato

Massimiliano Ferronato was born in Camposampiero, Italy, September 15, 1973. He is a Member of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Padua, Padua, Italy, and he obtained a degree in civil engineering on July 15, 1998 with 110/110 cum Laude. He got the authorization to pursue the profession of an engineer in January 1999. In 1999, he attended an M.S. degree postgraduate course at the University of Padua, achieving a specialization in coastal and maritime engineering. On March 23, 2003, he obtained a Ph.D. degree with a specialization in geomechanics numerical technology at the University of Delft (The Netherlands) with a thesis entitled “Rock Compaction and Expansion at the Scale Marker in Producing Gas Reservoirs” with supervisors Professor Arnold Verruijt (Delft University of Technology) and Professor Giuseppe Gambolati (University of Padua). In the academic year 2004/2005, he was appointed as an Adjunct Professor for the course Numerical Analysis for Mechanical Engineering (based in Vicenza). In April 2008, he became an Assistant Professor in numerical analysis. Ferronato is currently a Lecturer of numerical analysis at the School of Engineering of the University of Padua.
