Xiaogang Jin

Xiaogang Jin received his B.S. degree in computer science in 1989 while his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied mathematics in 1992 and 1995, respectively, all from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, China. Currently, he is a Professor of the State Key Lab of CAD&CG, Zhejiang University. He has published more than 100 technical papers and coauthored three books, where 66 papers are published in international journals such as ACM Transactions on Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, IEEE Computing in Science and Engineering, Computer-Aided Design, Graphical Models, Computer Graphics Forum, the Visual Computer, Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds, Computers & Graphics, Journal of Graphics Tools, Pattern Recognition, and Signal Processing. His research interests include cloth animation, facial animation, implicit surface computing, 3D morphing, mesh fusion, crowd and group animation, space deformation, texture synthesis, image processing, video abstraction, marbling, and special effects simulation. He is the Managing Editor of the International Journal of Virtual Reality (from 2006 to 2012) and the Editorial Member of the Scientific World Journal, Journal of Computer Aided Design and Computer Graphics, and Open Journal of Virtual Reality. He serves as a Steering Member of China System and Simulation Society, the Vice Director of simulation professional committee for young researchers of China System and Simulation Society, and the Vice Director of computer-aided design and computer graphics professional committee of China Computer Society. He is the program Cochair of ACM VRCAI 2013, Edutainment 2009, Edutainment 2007, organizing Cochair of Pacific Graphics 2010, ACM VRCAI 2006, and Edutainment 2006. He received the First Class Prize of National Award for Natural Sciences in Universities, in 2008.
