Pavithra Rajan

Clinical and Research Physiotherapist, India


Pavithra Rajan is a community physiotherapist (silver medalist) from India and is a Kinesiology graduate in community health from Canada. She has seven years of experience in the field of community health in various capacities which include staff clinical physiotherapist at a leading group of hospitals in Mumbai, India, research consultant with community organizations in different parts of India, and community volunteer with NGOs in India and Canada. Pavithra’s specialization in her Bachelors program was community physiotherapy. She has published three research articles from her undergraduate work in PubMed cited journals. Her Masters work is being submitted to leading American journal for possible publication. Pavithra was awarded the United Nations Online Volunteering Award for two consecutive years (2012 & 2013) for her contribution to help the underserved populations in Africa and Asia. She has been working in the field of community health research since 2008. She has over 30 publications and few more under review with international peer reviewed journals. She currently heads the research wing at this NGO and has published five research articles in international journals. In addition, she has recently written a book for underprivileged mothers and children in India which will soon be available for free distribution to these communities.
