David L. Cedeno
David L. Cedeno is currently an Associate Professor of chemistry at Illinois State University, Normal, Ill, USA. Cedeno holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia, in 1991 and a Ph.D. degree from Baylor University, Waco, Tex, in 1999. He was a Postdoc Fellow at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill, from 1999 to 2001 before his current appointment at Illinois State University. Cedeno’s interests range from studying metal-alkene bonding interactions using a combination of experimental and computational chemistry method to studying photosensitizers and their application in the photodynamic therapy of cutaneous leishmaniasis. Other collaborative projects include the study of luminescent rhenium clusters and the utilization of choline-based analogs in the treatment of leishmaniasis.
