Vijaysekhar Chellaboina

Vijaysekhar Chellaboina is a Professor of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Mahindra Ecole Centrale, Hyderabad. He recieved his B.S.M.E. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1991, the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL, USA, in 1993, and a Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 1996. Prior to joining Mahindra Ecole Centrale in May 2014, he was a Principal Scientist and Head of the Risk and Finance Research Group at the Innovations Laboratory at Tata Consultancy Services Hyderabad and he held faculty positions at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Missouri, 1999–2004, and the University of Tennessee, 2004–2008. Chellaboina’s current research interests include quantitative finance, risk minimization, applied stochastic processes, and stochastic optimization. His broader research interests include control systems theory and its applications. He is the coauthor of numerous articles and five books on the subjects of stability theory and control including Nonlinear Dynamical Systems and Control: A Lyapunov-Based Approach (published in 2008 by Princeton University Press).
