Hari K. Pant is the Director of Interdisciplinary Environmental Science Program, Department of Earth, Environmental and Geospatial Sciences, Lehman College of the City University of New York, Bronx, NY, USA. Pant obtained a Ph.D. degree, in environmental biology, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada, 1998, an M.S., in analytical chemistry, University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, 1993, and a B.S., in biology, Amrit Science Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, 1986. Pant's research interests include environmental science/biogeochemistry/global change (in general), such as sediment/soil and water quality, biogeochemical cycles of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur, and ecological indicators (those could be viewed as an early warning for an onset of major changes looming in aquatic and watershed ecosystems).
