Peter S. Hooda

Kingston University, United Kingdom

Peter S. Hooda obtained his Ph.D. in environmental biogeochemistry from University of London, London, UK, in 1992. Before joining Kingston University London in 2001, he worked at several leading environmental science research laboratories, including MLURI, Aberdeen, and Lancaster University. Biogeochemical cycling of nutrients and trace elements (both essential and potentially toxic) in managed and seminatural ecosystems have been the main focus of his work. Much of this has been driven by land use and environment change pressures and how they influence the biogeochemical cycling processes that ultimately determine their retention in soils and sediments, release to water, or uptake by plants.
