Christopher San Marchi

Christopher San Marchi obtained a Ph.D. degree in materials science from MIT, Cambridge, Mass, USA, in 1997. He also holds B.S. degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering and in chemistry. Currently Dr. Marchi serves as a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in the Hydrogen and Metallurgy Science Department. Dr. Marchi has published in the areas of metal matrix composites, cellular metals, ultrafine-grained metals, and hydrogen-assisted fracture, including the online Technical Reference for Hydrogen Compatibility of Materials. He also contributes to several code development activities in the area of hydrogen infrastructure.
