Mikhail V. Ioffe

Saint Petersburg State University, Russia

Mikhail V. Ioffe was born in Novosibirsk, USSR, in 1946. He received his Diploma (M.S. degree) in theoretical physics at Leningrad (Saint-Petersburg) State University in 1969. He defended his Candidate (Ph.D. degree) thesis in theoretical physics “Investigation of dual theory” at Leningrad (Saint-Petersburg) State University in 1973, and he received his degree of Doctor of Science with thesis on supersymmetrical methods in quantum mechanics at the same university in 1995. Starting from 1972, V. Ioffe works at the Department of High Energy and Elementary Particle Physics of Saint-Petersburg State University as a Research Fellow, Leading Research Fellow and, from 1997 until present, as a Full Professor. His main scientific interests concern different problems of supersymmetrical approach in quantum mechanics for one- and multidimensional space: exactly and quasiexactly solvable quantum models, integrability, non-Hermitian models, matrix models, supersymmetrical separation of variables, and quantum design. He published about 100 scientific papers, part of them in collaboration with partners from Georgia, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, and other countries.
