Jian He

Clemson University, USA

Jian He received the B.S. degree (1991) from Jilin University and the Ph.D. degree (2004) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, all in condensed matter physics. From 1991 to 1998, he was with the Thermal Neutron Scattering Lab of China Institute of Atomic Energy as a Research Assistant Professor. He was a Postdoc Research Fellow at Clemson University from 2004 to 2007 and became a Tenure-Tracked Assistant Professor since 2008. He is currently working in the areas of thermoelectrics, superconductivity, and carbon nanostructure networks, in terms of materials synthesis (bulk single crystal, polycrystal, nanomaterials, and nanocomposites) and characterizations (electrical, thermal and magnetic properties, and structure determination). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 3 book chapters, and 1 US patent. He is currently serving on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Recent Patents on Materials Science.
