Lijun Bai serves as a Research Assistant at Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She received the Ph.D. degree from Xidian University in 2009. Her main research interests include (1) investigating the neural mechanism underlying acupuncture; (2) the neurobiological mechanism of acupuncture analgesia, placebo analgesia, and their interrelationship. In the recent five years, she has published over peer-reviewed 40 articles, including 21 SCI-indexed articles. She is principal investigator and coinvestigator on a number of neuroimaging studies in acupuncture funded by both the National Natural Science Foundation and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Program, China.
