Eduardo J. Aguilar

Eduardo J. Aguilar holds both the Ph.D. and M.D. degrees. He is a Professor of psychiatry at the University of Valencia (Spain), the Coordinator of the Mental Health Unit in Sagunto Hospital (Valencia, Spain), and a CIBERSAM (Spanish research network) Researcher. He is the principal investigator of several research projects, mostly related to schizophrenia, emotion in psychosis, neuroimaging, psychological interventions for psychotic disorders, and educational innovation. He has published over 30 articles with impact factor, for an h-index of 11, and has frequently participated in international congresses as a speaker or through oral or written communications in schizophrenia research reunions. These papers together with numerous book chapters reflect his main research lines and areas of expertise on suicide, schizophrenia, functional and structural magnetic resonance, and intensive home treatment. He has regularly collaborated with professors and researchers from other universities in Spain, other European countries, and United States. His professional activities also include the evaluation of research projects for the ANEP (Prospective Evaluation National Agency in Spain) and the reviewing of scientific manuscripts for high-impact journals.
