Jami Mandelin

Jami Mandelin was born in Lahti, Finland, in 1972. He received his M.S. degree in biochemistry and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 1999 and 2005, respectively. Since 1997, Mandelin has been with the TULES Group, led by Professor Yrjö T. Konttinen. In 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Associate at Professor Gerard Karsenty’s Lab at the Baylor College of Medicine, the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics, Houston, Tex, USA. From 2006 to 2008, Mandelin was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Arap/Pasqualini Lab led by Professors Wadih Arap and Renata Pasqualini at the Department of Genitourinary Medical Oncology, the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Tex, USA. Presently, he is a Principal Investigator and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki, Finland. He is mainly interested in inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis as well as bone and cartilage destruction related to inflammatory conditions. Mandelin is a Member of the Finnish Society for Rheumatology.
