Sandro Massao Hirabara is an Investigator at Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. He received his Graduate degree in biological sciences from the Federal Universidade of Paraná (2000); his Ph.D. degree in sciences/human physiology from University of São Paulo (2005); his fellowship from University of Geneva (2007). He works with fatty acids, insulin resistance, skeletal muscle, metabolism, cell signaling, gene expression, and physical activity and has experience in endocrine physiology, metabolism, and exercise physiology. He serves as advisory Ad Hoc Reviewer of FAPESP and CNPq (two important financial agencies for research in Brazil) and important international journals (Journal of Cellular Physiology, Journal of Sports Science and Medicine, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Research in Sports Medicine, and Cell Biochemistry and Function).
