Hiroto Terashi

Hiroto Terashi was born in Fukuoka, Japan. He received his M.S. degree in 1986 from Oita University, Oita, Japan, and his Ph.D. degree in 2001 from the same university. During 1997 to 1999, Terashi had studied abroad at Department of Plastic Surgery of Michigan University at Ann Arbor, Mich, USA. In 2001, he joined the Faculty of Department of Plastic Surgery, Kobe University Hospital, Japan, as an Associate Professor. Since May 2012, Terashi has been a Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Kobe University Hospital, Japan. His areas of research interest are wound healing and regenerative medicine. His areas of clinical medicine are skin and soft tissue tumors, and various intractable skin ulcers as like diabetic foot ulcers. He proposed “Kobe Classification” for rescuing Asian diabetic feet. Terashi has 380 papers including more than 100 English papers.
