Aziz A. Chentoufi

Aziz A. Chentoufi serves as a Consultant and Head of Immunology Department at KFMC, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Immunology at the King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University FOM-KFMC, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Chentoufi received his Ph.D. degree in biomedical sciences (immunology) from the University Catholic of Louvain, Brussels, Belgium, in 1999. Dr. Chentoufi has done Postdoctoral Fellowship at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, from 1999 to 2004 where he worked on immunogenetics of type 1 diabetes and gene therapy for graft versus host disease. Then, he was appointed as specialist at the University of California Irvine-Medical Center, Irvine, CA, USA, in 2006, where he was a key investigator in the development of asymptomatic self-adjuvanting mucosal vaccine construct against herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2. Dr. Chentoufi is an independent Clinical Immunologist, with national and international reputation in vaccine development against both infectious and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Chentoufi is well integrated into the scientific community within the United States as well as Europe and Saudi Arabia; he is actively involved in a number of professional societies including Association of Clinical Scientists, Canadian Society of Immunology, and The Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS). Dr. Chentoufi has several research proposals funded by Ministry of Health, KACST, and KFMC. Finally, Dr. Chentoufi is an Associate Editor in many scientific journals and has more than 40 publications in high impact factor journals.
