Maria Chiara Monti

Maria Chiara Monti, Ph.D., serves as a Researcher in organic chemistry at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Science, University of Salerno. She was awarded, in 2006, with the Italian Chemical Society Giacomino Randazzo Medal, and, in 2007, with the Italian Chemical Society, Mass Spectrometry Division, the DSM-SCI 2007 Medal for Young Researcher. In 2005, she holds two fellowships from the European Commission Research Directorates General Marie Curiè and from the Federation of European Biochemical Societies to carry out her research at the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry Department of the Bijovet Center of Utrecht University under the supervision of Professor A. Heck. During this period, she improved her skills in the analysis of noncovalent protein-ligand complexes by advanced techniques in mass spectrometry.
