Lihong Xu

Lihong Xu received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Department of Automatic Control, Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1991. In 1994, he was appointed as a Professor at Southeast University. He transferred to Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 1997, and has been a Professor at Tongji University since then. He has done joint research work as a Visiting Professor and Advisor of the greenhouse research team of BEACON, a science and technology center of National Science Fund, USA, since 2010. His research fields include control theory and its application to greenhouse and computational intelligence and optimization of wireless sensors networks (WSN). He has published more than 50 papers on different international journals and conferences. He got, respectively, the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress of China in 2007 and the first prize of Education Ministry Scientific and Technological Progress of China in 2005.
